These are an alternative to an immersion heater whereas they are used by sliding a ceramic core into a stainless steel pipe within a tank. This withdrawable method means that the user does not have to drain their tank before fitting a replacement heater, thus not losing the contents of the tank or other application.
Standard diameters are 35mm or 45mm and length range between 200mm and 10,000mm, depending on the watts density rating. The heaters can either be screw type or with leads.
